Products Description
Our Multijet Fusion Printing services can print the raw material in black PA12. Component produced by MJF with black PA12 materials, normally dark grey-black. Not the pure black. Comparation to the white PA12 SLS printed parts, the MJF Black PA12 parts are a little bit rough and less precision in tolerance. But more harden and offers better impact resistance. On the contrary white PA12 is more flexible.
What is MJF?
MJF stands for Multi Jet Fusion, it is an industrial 3D printing technology developed by HP, used to produce high-strength, precise plastic parts (Mainly Black Nylon). Unlike SLS, which uses a laser to "draw" the solid areas point-by-point, MJF fuses entire layers at once, making it significantly faster. After the powder layer is spread, the inkjet array sprays the flux and refiner. Under the illumination of an infrared lamp, the area of the flux absorbs heat for fusion. The refining agent area inhibits fusion and ensures clear edges.

MJF vs SLS (Main Differences)
- MJF can produce the same parts with quicker lead time compare than SLS
- MJF printed parts with better surface than SLS, it is smoother. SLS will relatively rough
- MJF Products with better heat stability. Good choice for high temperature resistance
- SLS has more advantages in toughness: a higher elongation at break (up to 35% at most)
- SLS printing can be more flexible on the materials. MJF is mainly for Black PA12.
- SLS printed white PA12 parts can be dye to different colors
